7th/8th July 2022 - 2nd month of summer and everything is going well
The terrace and trellis are beginning to look very beautiful. Although much of the “Haven” is reserved for growing food, we need pollinators for the vegetables (most of them). So we provisioned for flowers on the allotment to attract the bees and other insects.
In the first picture you can see the Marigolds beginning to flower and the pink Mallows are following suit. The Begonias are becoming a bit lost, but the Alyssum are filling up the space at the front near the wooden wall.
From the front roadside the trellis and cut grass are displaying a quintessential English garden scene. A lovely combination of flowers, shrubs, some structural components and freshly cut grass, all with a nice hazy sun. Anyway… we like it!
Back around the other side of the trellis, the corner is filling up with the Marigolds and Mallows bushing out. The Begonias have more space here, but we wonder how long that will last.
