13th April 2022, The next phase of construction!
On this day things moved forward a fair amount. Firstly we installed the front plank along with two supporting uprights (there will be a third) at the front of this construction work. This nicely delineates the path with a small border.
In the next picture you can see we have panelled in the gap between the raised bed at the front of the plot and the polytunnel. This additionally, physically, joins the compost bins to this construction, just one more bit to do to secure this whole raised bed area now.
The old wishing well that we were using on the fire has now been relocated where it is going to be. We will be planting Jerusalem Artichoke in there and hopefully roasting them in the winter.
The third picture gives closer detail on the panelled wall which separates this area from the cold frame / work area section.
Round the front by the cold frame, you can see how the wall has created a seal between the raised bed, compost bins and the rear section of raised beds.
