10th October 2021, Moving on…
With the one side of the Polytunnel now secured with the raised bed, it is time now to sort out the other side. This will be a taller raised bed, and the added complication is that the polytunnel is not entirely level… It is a bit lopsided to be honest, not a lot, but it is!
First task is to remove the soil from underneath the frame, like we did on the other side. The slight head start we have is that at this stage there is nothing growing on the inside of the polytunnel and so there are no worries about just digging away. Plus, there is no pile of soil to get rid of first before the digging can commence.
So there we are, right to left: the row of leeks, then the path, and then where the raised bed is going to reside.
Here in the middle of Autumn a panoramic view of the “Haven” to date. Must get that drone out and airborne so that I can take a picture from the air as the plot develops (got to learn how to fly the thing first of all).
Don’t mind if we do, a small wee dram of a very nice single malt to celebrate progress so far!
