13th September 2021, Rest area complete… for the moment
A final couple of pictures to celebrate the completion of the terrace and complementing furniture. The last piece of the jigsaw, the slightly decorative front panel to the bench seat and we’re done!
We’ve used the pieces of wood from the pallets that would ordinarily have been deemed "flaws" in a way that provides a bit of uniqueness to the seat: on the sides, on the front, and even on the top mini shelf. The wood preserver has accentuated them nicely too!
Time now to move onto other projects, safe in the knowledge there is a place to sit and rest if it all gets too much. A couple of spare bits of decking also available as drinks mats resting on the table top there…
In the second picture some new green plastic chairs, kind of new to us, but Chris’ sister was giving them away as she had acquired new garden furniture, so we cleaned them up, and they will do us as the plastic will not damage the decking wood. That was handy, when the need arrives, the universe provides - so it seems!
Now time to move on to pastures new…
