25th February 2022, Terraced vegetable plots ‘R’ us!
We did use a spirit level to kind of ensure, once we’d decided the height, it was level too. But it wasn’t too much of an exact science to be honest. Anyway, here we go, starting to level things up now. We have plenty of soil with which to level… and… we’ve still got to dig soil from the rear of the polytunnel.
Plenty of spare wood, and we now have some spare concrete slabs resting against the fire too. In the second picture you can see that we have started to do the same task on the second plot. This plot had a slighter higher slope, so the wall is going to be a little taller.
The pallets are being stored in here, along with the brassicas because of the pallets disappearance (theft) late last year. We have these earmarked for a very good cause…
You can see here the purple sprouting has made it through the winter and the sprouts too… they are still yielding some nice sprouts, albeit these are purple and a little different, very nice though.
