28th July 2022 - Abundance…
With the summer now in full swing, it is a real pleasure to see “the Haven” maturing into its glory: this area we have created with the terrace and trellis and the newly seeded lawn all combining to provide a beautiful restful space, where we can retire to and enjoy a refreshing cup of tea.
In the next picture it is very satisfying to see the pallet fence, decorated with flowers, and then the tomatoes doing their thing behind, just as planned!
The view from the terrace is very pleasant… the results of all our hard work, on plot no. 1, ditto with the next picture too…
The Echinacea is such a beautiful flower, we really didn’t appreciate that until this year. The flower has been a major attraction to bees thus far, as you can see with this one here on the last picture. Here is an interesting fact about this amazing flower (from Google):"Echinacea is a Native American medicinal plant named for the prickly scales in its large conical seed head, which resembles the spines of an angry hedgehog ("echinos" is Greek for hedgehog).
