In the first and second pictures if you look at the top of the box you will see just in front of the compost bins there's a side with two walls. This now encloses a gap which will be filled with some foam, shredded paper and other things that might help retain the heat here.
As you can see although the lid is quite wide, so is the top of the box on which it will rest. We are making good progress now. Looking at the other pictures below, although some secondary walls are still to be added, everything is now in place to rattle these off fairly quickly.
I don’t know whether you have caught sight of all the water in the road, which seems mostly to be outside our allotment. Desi brought over some woodchip to put in the road, to soak up some of the water, but really the road just needs levelling out.
In the last picture we have added back the lid. As you can see it just about reaches the wall close to the end of the box, but we have to build a special feature for this box which is going at the end.. This part has yet to be finalised and there are a few bits needed to complete it.
